Crowds of enthusiastic audio industry professionals filled exhibitor booths, workshops, panels, broadcast, educational, live sound and special events during the 123rd Audio Engineering Society Convention held in NYC’s Jacob Javits Convention Center Oct. 5 – 8, 2007. An ebullient mood permeated the four-day event, with exhibitors registering significant sales and attendees demonstrably pleased with the depth and authoritative content of the technical presentations.
Recorded Music faculty and students were well represented:
Jim Anderson Chaired the Convention for the 3rd time, was a recording competition judge for jazz, and was a panelist for the Audio Education Forum.
Michael McCoy chaired the convention's facilities, assisted by senior Michael Leikin
Bob Power was a panelist on the Career Workshop
Nick Sansano and Tony Maserati spoke to the crowds at the Platinum Engineers Panel
Alum, Allison Kruth and Senior, Cassandra Koederitz placed 3rd in the international Surround Recording Competition
Students were seen in technical sessions, on the exhibit floor, and as convention volunteers.
