Biography

Brad Davison's decade-long career in the music industry has touched on promotion of almost all formats. From breaking artists as diverse as System Of A Down to Jessica Simpson, Davidson is widely seen as one of the industry's fast-rising record promoters.

Davidson is currently Senior Vice President of Promotion overseeing all formats at TVT Records in New York. The label allows Davidson to work with a far-reaching lineup of artists, including Lil’ Jon, Pitbull and Ying Yang Twins, as well as up-and-comers like KeKe Wyatt, Ina and the Cinematics.

Davidson started his career in 1998 at Columbia Records, the storied label where he helped gain national attention for System of A Down, first as a college rep and later as head of Columbia's college radio department. His work in the college department led to a post of regional promotions for the northeast, then the sixth largest radio market in the country. In 2002 Columbia brought Davidson back to New York where he worked as vice president in charge of pop promotions.

Just prior to joining TVT records in 2006, Davidson was Vice President of pop at Reprise Records, where he worked to promote Green Day, Michael Buble and Enya, as well as Lil Scrappy and E-40. Throughout his career, Davidson has developed a reputation for building strong relationships with radio program directors and for being at the forefront of new technologies and distribution channels, including online and multimedia content.
