This workshop provides an overview of the legal and business issues confronting record labels on a daily basis; e.g., acquisition of rights, protection of ideas, copyright protection, dealing with talent and their representatives, music clearance, and employment issues. Negotiating skills are practiced when students participate in a well-designed simulation at the end of each class.
