Biography
Grammy Award Winning Engineer/Mixer,Tony Maserati, started his career at the legendary Sigma Sound Studios in New York. His independence in the early 1990’s afforded him the opportunity to broaden his client base with some of New York’s top Hip Hop and R&B Artists and Producers. Working closely with Bad Boy Entertainment’s roster of immeasurable talent, he helped create what became the sound of NY Hip Hop & R&B for artists such as Mary J Blige, Faith Evans, Notorius BIG and Lil Kim. As Tony’s career continued throughout the 1990’s and into the new millennium, his sound has been sought after by R Kelly, Maxwell, Destiny’s Child, John Legend, Ricky Martin, Mark Anthony, The Rapture, Jennifer Lopez, Angie Stone, Puffy, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson, The Black Eyed Peas, Fergie, The Pussycat Dolls, Outkast, and Beyonce Knowles. Tony continues to be a critical part of the Pop, Urban & R&B sound throughout the world of music and is admired by his contemporaries and artists alike. His participation and concern with mentoring up-and-coming engineers and artists has been diligent throughout his career. Tony won a Grammy for Beyonce Knowles “Crazy In Love” a Latin Grammy for Sergio Mendes’ “Timeless” and is the recipient of a 2006 TEC Award. He has been nominated for 5 Grammy’s and 1 Latin Grammy and is an active member of NARAS.
