Steinhardt, Tisch to Host 2007 CMJ Music Marathon
For the first time in over a decade, the 27th annual CMJ Music Marathon will be headquartered in the Puck Building and throughout multiple venues at NYU. The event, to be held Oct. 16-20, will be co-hosted by the Department of Music and Performing Arts Professions at the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development and the Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music in the Tisch School of the Arts.
The festival includes panels, keynote speeches, film premieres, a continuing legal education symposium, mentoring sessions, tutorials, and an interactive lifestyle area. In the evening, CMJ Music Marathon will take place at more than 50 clubs and music venues throughout New York City.
CMJ Music Marathon is the largest event of its kind, drawing over 12,000 professionals from all sectors of the music business and over 100,000 music fans, all of whom convene in New York to discover the world’s best new music.
