The department officially kicked off it's Steinway Lasting Legacy campaign on October 19th to raise $120,000 for 2 new Steinway pianos. The department's goal is to purchase a Steinway B to be placed in Studio 510, and a Steinway A to be placed in Studio 505. There were approximately 40-45 parents present, and Freshman David McTiernan played “There Will Never Be Another You” on the Steinway D in Steinway Hall on 57th Street. It was a wonderful event, and we plan to make it an annual event for parents and alumni.
