Biography

Brane Zivkovic is an award winning film, television, and theatre composer, internationally recognized recording artist and producer, technologist, and educator. He is the recipient of numerous awards in the film and recording industries, including the Golden Arena Award (as Film Composer of the Year in 1984), and platinum and gold record awards in the former Yugoslavia. In addition to his teaching on the NYU campus since 1989, Brane was Director of Film Scoring at the Aspen Music Festival and School in the nineties, and has taught film music courses at La Pietra in Italy for many years. He was a frequent guest lecturer in the Master in Multimedia, a graduate program at the University of Florence. Brane was the founder and CEO of Soundball, a global leader in the development of Structured Audio technologies, an international standard for synthetic audio within MPEG-4. Brane is a member of ASCAP and MCPS (London).
